Meet David Pearl, CPA

David A. Pearl, CPA

David A. Pearl has been working with Pearl Business Group since 2010. Mr. Pearl is a financial executive with extensive experience in managing Financial, Administrative, Human Resources, IT and Operational functions. Ethics and professional courtesy guide David’s business practices. Mr. Pearl has created highly effective five-year strategic plans and exit strategies for numerous businesses, while also being able to increase incremental profits. Mr. Pearl has also helped troubled companies turn around by creating long-term plans that help them become and remain profitable.

Experience

Mr. Pearl has extensive experience as a CFO and has worked with a range of businesses from startups to family owned enterprises. Mr. Pearl’s professional experience includes the restaurant industry, franchisor and franchisee businesses, large scale construction equipment, appraisal management company and professional services firms. Mr. Pearls’ career began at Arthur Andersen while working as the assistant comptroller for the Florida U.S. Army National Guard for eight years. Mr. Pearl has extensive experience managing Financial, Administrative, Human Resources, IT and Operation function of companies. He had created highly effective five-year strategic plans and exit strategies for numerous business, while being able to increase incremental profits. This has led Mr. Pearl to work in multiple mergers and acquisitions.

Education

Mr. Pearl received his both his BBA and MAcc in Accounting from Stetson University. Mr. Pearl is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the United States Army Officer Basic Training Course. Mr. Pearl is a veteran of the Florida Army National Guard.

Community Service

Mr. Pearl is an active member of the Seminole State College advisory board and the University of Central Florida incubator for new innovative companies led by recently graduated students. Mr. Pearl a graduate of Leadership Seminole and is active in this organization.  He has previously chaired and served on the Board of the Ivy Hawn Charter School of the Arts where he served on the audit, fundraising, strategic planning and finance committees.

Donald A. Harris

Donald A. Harris is the President and CEO of Donald A. Harris and Associates, Inc., a specialty consulting practice that he founded in 2008 to help clients accelerate their strategic growth processes and discover new opportunities to increase revenues while reducing expenses.   He has been working with Pearl Business Group since 2011 and formed a formal partnership with Pearl Business Group in 2017.  Mr. Harris is a marketing, business development and operations executive with extensive experience in managing Sales, Marketing, Finance, Administration, Organizational Development, and Operations.  As a Rotarian of 32 years, ethics and professional courtesy guide Don’s business practices. Mr. Harris has created highly effective marketing and strategic business plans for numerous businesses, while also being able to increase incremental profits, revenue and market share.

Experience

Mr. Harris has helped organizations of all sizes, from family owned local businesses to international corporations achieve market success through specific strategies designed to out-market, out-sell and out-service the competition – all with an eye towards achieving highly responsible and effective cost management.  He has led major, award-winning sales and marketing initiatives for several of the nation’s largest financial software services companies.

Education

Don is a graduate of Missouri State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with double majors in Mathematics, Finance and General Business.

Community Service

Mr. Harris is an active member of Rotary International.  He is Serving Rotary District 6980 as their District Governor, leading 1,500 Rotarians in 5 counties in central Florida.  He has served the Rotary Club of Lake Mary as Past President, along with many other positions in his Club and the District.  He has been honored with Rotarian of the Year twice and the Service above Self award twice. 

Mr. Harris is also active in the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida and has served as Chairman of the Seminole County Branches and as a Corporate Board Member for 4 terms.  Mr. Harris is a graduate of Leadership Seminole and served 6 years on their Executive council.  He has also served as Vice Chair of Missouri Easter Seals, Boy Scout Committee Member and West Point Parents Advisory Council.

Eric Wilson,
Marketing

Eric E. Wilson, Digital Solutions

Eric Wilson is the owner of Eric Wilson Enterprises, LLC which encompasses a wide range of digital marketing services for the good of all concerned. From Graphic Design, to Website Full Stack Developer, he has a full Video Production Lab as well including his own in house production company.

Producing full length story telling videos to short videos, Eric does all the front end and backend as well as voice overs for all video productions for TicTok, Instagram, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts (to long form videos). Eric’s had a 20 year career in radio and TV broadcasting as an on air Meteorologist and Marketing. Eric’s solutions are based on todays digital landscape.

Eric also has produced several apps on both iPhone and Android and sources out to his developer company, RiseApps, for larger requests. If you need an app to supplement your products we can accomplish that in a fast and high quality platform that is cost effective.

Experience

Eric started his career as a Broadcast Meteorologist from 1992 to 2012 at various stations from CBS to NBC in markets such as New York (Buffalo) and Michigan (Detroit). Eric worked his way up to C level Weather advisor for 5 TV stations for PostNewsweek – prior to the explosion of the internet – and worked his last TV job out of Orlando, Florida. Eric still practices forecasting for insurance companies today with site specific weather reports. 

Eric rebranded his son’s school for children with learning disabilities, Pace Brantley Preparatory School, redesigning the logo into the Eagle they have today along with everything having to do with their new brand pro-bono.

Education

Eric holds degrees in Atmospheric Science, BS, from Mississippi State University (1995), a Business Degree from the University of Phoenix (2007) as well as a Computer Science Degree from Full Sail University (2018) with a focus on UX/UI Design and Implementation.

Community Service

Eric served in the Gulf War (1990-1991) as a medic with the Red Horse combined service division out of the 857th (now the 91st) SAC Air Force base in Minot, North Dakota.  

He and his wife, Michelle, own their own 501(c)3 nonprofit called Hearts, Hands and Hope. Since 2016 HHH’s mission is to solve food insecurity with partnerships that provide food, mental health and job/career reshuffling for the primary care giver. Food Insecurity is not just feeding the poor rather feeding those who are transitioning into another career field by maintaining healthy meal plans and making sure any mental health needs are met for the family. They have placed more than 100 families back into the workforce in a dignified manner.

Eric also holds many positions in Rotary, his home club is The Rotary Club of Lake Mary and serves on the District level as well with his videos and public image positions.

Mary C. McKaig,

Mary C. McKaig

Mary C. McKaig has been associated with the Pearl Business Group since 2019.  With 25 years of Human Resources Experience, she is a results-focused leader who delivers engagement and retention solutions that help companies harness the power of culture to bring out the best in their employees. 

She has strong experience in Employee Engagement, Management Development, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Policy Development and Total Rewards.  Mary has worked with small and large companies develop cost-effective solutions for short and long-term challenges.

 

Experience

Mary started her HR career with Frito-Lay and Maybelline Cosmetics, supporting non-union Manufacturing Operations.  She has held HR Leadership positions in companies such as 7-Eleven, book publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Florida Homebuilder Park Square Enterprises, and HR Consulting firm Hewitt Associates.  Mary created a start-up HR function at Park Square Enterprises and has also provided consulting services with small and medium-sized companies in the Hospitality industry. 

Education

Mary received her undergraduate degree in Communications/Advertising from Penn State University and her MBA from the Crummer School of Business at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.  

Community Service

Mary has led Community Involvement and Diversity efforts in her role in several companies, including leadership of Employee Committees to enhance community-focused cultures.  She is actively involved in the Economic Vitality Committee, working with the Mayor’s office to assist, develop and grow the local business community.
